Kenneth Copeland — What Is Our Attitude?

What is Jesus’ attitude? A good example is the
Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13). It is full of
outright confessions of faith. Look at verses 9-10:
“Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy
name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in
earth, as it is in heaven.” This is a statement of
faith that shows Jesus’ winning attitude. He was
standing there in the face of people who wanted
to stone Him when He prayed that! He didn’t say,
“Father, if it be Your will….” He didn’t just say,
“Thy will be done.” He said, “Your will be done in
earth as it is in heaven!” Is there sickness, poverty
and suffering in heaven? No! Then there shouldn’t
be any of it here on earth. Can you see His
attitude in this? God doesn’t have sickness in
heaven, so He doesn’t want any here on earth!

Our attitude needs to be the same as His. Jesus
is the eternal winner—He always wins! God can
tell you what will happen 6,000 years from now.
Why? Because the events taking place in the next
6,000 years or the next 6 million years will not
happen just by chance. They are established.
Where? In the mind of God. He has faith
operating in His own ability. He is a faith being.
He can tell you what will happen in the future
because He intends for it to come out that way!
He can give you His wisdom because it’s going to
be the way He decides.

How does He do it? With His faith. He doesn’t
expect to fail. He doesn’t prepare to fail. Satan will
get in and try to destroy things, but God doesn’t
worry—He knows it will come out all right.
That’s how we’re to be. Roll all your cares over on
Him. Don’t be moved by what you feel or by what
you see. You’re a faith person, so you know how
things are going to come out. You’re going to win,
praise God!

The Church—the Body of Christ—has lived
far below her privileges. We have lived as far
below our spiritual privileges as Israel has lived
below her political privileges. Israel should be the
head and not the tail. She should not have to
borrow from any nation on earth, and every
nation on earth should be indebted to her. That’s
what God said. Well, that’s how far below our
spiritual privileges the Body of Christ has lived.

Deuteronomy 30:19-20
KJV—I call heaven and earth to record this
day against you, that I have set before you
life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore
choose life, that both thou and thy seed may
live: That thou mayest love the Lord thy
God, and that thou mayest obey his voice,
and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he
is thy life, and the length of thy days: that
thou mayest dwell in the land which the
Lord sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to
Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

Amp—I call Heaven and earth to witness
this day against you, that I have set before
you life and death, the blessing and the
curse; therefore choose life, that you and
your descendants may live; To love the
Lord your God, to obey His voice, and to
cling to Him; for He is your life, and the
length of your days, that you may dwell in
the land which the Lord swore to give to
your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Moffatt—Here and now I call heaven and
earth to witness against you that I have put
life and death before you, the blessing and
the curse: choose life, then, that you and your
children may live, by loving the Eternal your
God, obeying his voice, and holding fast to
him, for that means life to you and length of
days, that you may live in the land which the
Eternal swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob,
your fathers, that he would give to them.

NIV—This day I call heaven and earth as
witnesses against you that I have set before
you life and death, blessings and curses. Now
choose life, so that you and your children
may live and that you may love the Lord
your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to
him. For the Lord is your life, and he will give
you many years in the land he swore to give
to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Joshua 1:7-8
KJV—Only be thou strong and very courageous,
that thou mayest observe to do according
to all the law, which Moses my
servant commanded thee: turn not from it
to the right hand or to the left, that thou
mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
This book of the law shall not depart out
of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein
day and night, that thou mayest observe to
do according to all that is written therein: for
then thou shalt make thy way prosperous,
and then thou shalt have good success.

Amp—Only you be strong, and very courageous,
that you may do according to all
the law, which Moses My servant commanded
you. Turn not from it to the right
hand or to the left, that you may prosper
wherever you go.

This book of the law shall not depart out
of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it
day and night, that you may observe and
do according to all that is written in it; for
then you shall make your way prosperous,
and then you shall deal wisely and have
good success.

Moffatt—Only be strong and brave, mindful
to carry out all your orders from my
servant Moses, turning neither to the right
nor to the left, so that you may succeed
wherever you go.

This lawbook you shall never cease to
have on your lips; you must pore over it
day and night, that you may be mindful
to carry out all that is written in it, for so
shall you make your way prosperous, so
shall you succeed.

NIV—Be strong and very courageous. Be
careful to obey all the law my servant
Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the
right or to the left, that you may be successful
wherever you go.

Do not let this Book of the Law depart
from your mouth; meditate on it day and
night, so that you may be careful to do
everything written in it. Then you will be
prosperous and successful.

Kenneth Copeland — Living in the Spirit Realm

September 30th, 2009

Kenneth and Gloria Copeland

And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom
of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind
on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever
thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in
heaven (Matthew 16:19).

This familiar passage on the keys of heaven
and binding and loosing brings up some interesting
questions: What is the realm of faith like? Why
should we be so vitally, constantly, continually
interested in faith?

Think about how we protect the feeding of our
physical bodies. We may claim that we have no time
to spend in the Word of God, but we don’t miss any
meals! There is no such thing as not having time to
eat—not for long. The same should be true of our
spiritual nourishment.

We must do something about this attitude, especially
as we move forward toward the catching away
of the Church. The Church that has already gone to
heaven and the Church that is still on earth are going
to meet one day and never be separated again. The
Bible says that one day we will be like our Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ (1 John 3:2).

The closer we get to that day, the more is required
of us. As the time grows shorter and shorter, the more
we in the Church are going to have to learn more
and more how to schedule our work time around the
Word instead of trying to schedule the Word around
our work time.

This is not something we ought to do. It is something
we must do. If we do it, there will be more revelation
poured out on the Body of Christ than there
has been in the past 2,000 years combined. We will be
either the most spiritually knowledgeable or the most
spiritually ignorant generation in history.

The faith realm must come first, because faith
is the catalyst that hooks the natural world and the
spiritual world together. We cannot get from one to
the other without the spiritual force of faith.

The Bible says to be carnally minded (in debt
to the flesh) is death, but to be spiritually minded
(free from debt to the flesh) is life (Romans 8:4-13).

If we are operating in the realm of the spirit, there is
no way the flesh can dominate us, because we will
be dominating it. That truth is so vital in the day in
which we live.
